I would like a web-based file manager so I can adjust my website without an FTP program. Do you have one?
For anyone who has not used a web-based file manager, it is a website that you can access with your normal username and password. Once logged in you can edit, delete, and upload files in your webspace.
They are extremely useful:
- when making minor modifications to the site.
- when making changes to the site when you don't have an FTP program available.
- if you have little experience with FTP and would prefer a less technical way to modify your site.
We do have a web-based file manager and it is automatically setup when you first get your hosting. To access the manager you simply login to your cPanel control panel (the address, username, and password is sent to you with your welcome email), click on "Access", and finally click on "Web-based file manager".
We have more specific information on using your web-based file manager at our web-based file manager tutorial.
