Does my hosting account automatically connect to my domain name?

If you have chosen to purchase a domain name from Cherry Web Hosting, as well as your hosting account, then yes we will connect them for you free of charge.

If you choose to purchase your domain name elsewhere while hosting with us, then you will need to connect the two yourself.

Connecting the two is actually a fairly simple process. All you are doing is pointing your domain name at our servers. The process of pointing a domain is called settings DNS or setting nameservers.

You need to set your DNS settings at the website of your domain name registrar (the company you bought the domain name from). To set DNS you simply login to your registrar's website, enter two simple nameserver settings that we send you, and wait 24-72 hours.

Occasionally we are asked if we set the DNS settings for you. We do not set the DNS settings with your registrar as part of our hosting packages. As a special service for those that are not very technically inclined, we will set your DNS settings for you for the fee of $10 US. It is much easier to ust purchase the domain name with us as well.

If you are interested please pay for your hosting and then send us an email with your registrars login page, username, and password, and we will send you a link to pay for the setting of your DNS.

We do our very best to ensure you are working as quickly as possible.
