Which directory do I upload my CGI scripts to?
One of the security measures we have in place on our servers is a restriction on where CGI scripts can be run from. To use a CGI script (normally a Perl script) simply place it in the "cgi-bin" directory that is in your "public_html" directory. Scripts placed outside of this directory will not run, even if they are elsewhere in the "public_html" directory.
Just a reminder that CGI scripts need to have permissions set to 755 to run. If you are receiving an Error 500 Internal Server Error then this is one of the first things you should check.
