What happens if I go over the disk space or transfer limits for my plan?
As with all of our hosting services there are no surprises. If you attempt to go over the allocated space on our servers you are simply given an error message explaining that you have no further room for files.
By deleting appropriately sized files, or reducing file sizes of your existing files, you will be able to upload again immediately.
When your account approaches it's transfer limit for the month you are sent a warning that this is the case. You may then choose to upgrade your plan and avoid any risk of clients not viewing your website.
Alternatively simply wait until your transfer runs out, and we will resume serving your site at the beginning of the following month.
If your transfer for a particular month exceeds your quota, clients will receive a message that you have exceeded your bandwidth for the month and to drop past again later. Naturally, you can upgrade your plan and be back serving clients your website before the end of the month.
If you are unsure about exactly how much disk space or transfer you require then please contact us and we will give you help on choosing an appropriate plan.
